Regarding connectivity, there are three innovative technologies on their way to be implemented in the future:
Wifi 6 – operating with an integrated energy-saving feature.
Matter – uses Thread for sustainable wireless connectivity, Wi-fi whenever higher amounts of data are transported and Bluetooth low energy for an easy device start-up.
Thread – which is an IP-based protocol developed especially for energy-saving devices and most suitable for battery-running smart home products.
